REVIEW • PITAKA

MagEZ
Power Bank.

A premium 10,000mAh magnetic power bank tested with a Google Pixel 9a setup.

Note: This product was provided by PITAKA for review purposes. This review reflects my honest opinion based on my own experience.

First impressions

The first thing that stood out was the packaging. The magnetic opening box feels high-end, and the power bank itself feels like a premium tech accessory instead of a basic plastic battery pack.

The slim design is impressive for a 10,000mAh power bank. The carbon and aramid fiber texture gives it a very clean, high-end feel.

Pixel 9a compatibility

PITAKA mostly targets Apple users, but I tested this with a Google Pixel 9a and a Spigen MagSafe-compatible case. The fit was excellent. It clicked onto the back securely and felt good in the hand.

The soft pad on the phone-facing side is a smart detail because it helps prevent scratching. The hidden LED lights inside that pad also look very clean when checking battery status.

Charging performance

Wireless charging supports up to 15W, and the USB-C port supports 20W PD output. That means it can work both as a magnetic wireless charger and as a regular fast power bank.

USB-C input also supports PD fast charging, so recharging the power bank itself is quick when using a proper wall charger.

Pros

  • Very premium design and materials.
  • Strong magnetic connection.
  • Works well with my Pixel 9a MagSafe setup.
  • 10,000mAh capacity in a slim body.
  • USB-C PD output is very useful.

Cons

  • It can warm up during wireless charging.
  • It adds noticeable weight to the phone.
  • It is definitely a premium-priced product.

Verdict

PITAKA did not just make a battery. They made a premium accessory. If you want something cheap, this is not it. But if you care about materials, design and strong magnetic charging, this is genuinely impressive.
